Why I Created This Podcast

I created M AP KOUTE W WAP KOUTE M as a space for honest conversations about mental health, healing, and the stories we often carry silently.

As a therapist and a Haitian woman, I’ve seen how stigma, cultural expectations, and generational patterns can make it hard to talk about our struggles — even when we’re hurting. This podcast is my way of slowing things down, creating space to listen, and naming what so many of us experience but rarely say out loud.

Here, we talk about trauma, resilience, self-reflection, and what it means to choose healing in a world that often asks us to just “push through.” My hope is that each episode feels like an invitation — to pause, to breathe, and to remind yourself that you’re not alone.

Whether you’re beginning your healing journey or continuing it, I’m glad you’re here.

If something here resonates, you’re welcome to continue exploring — through the blog, the podcast episodes, or by learning more about therapy services.
